Diffusion Strengths (Full to Eighth)

Full, ½, ¼, and ⅛ Diffusion Filters

The fraction indicates the strength of diffusion – we sell diffusion filters in 7 strengths. Full or Heavy diffusion (such as 216 White Diffusion) provides maximum softening and beam spread, while lighter options like Quarter or Eighth offer subtle smoothing of highlights and softer beam edges without significantly reducing output.

Large-Scale & Fabric Diffusion

Grid Cloth Diffusion

Grid Cloth diffusions are durable, waterproof textile filters designed for large frames and high-output sources. When reinforced by sewing or grommeting, they deliver strong, even diffusion for controlled, large-area lighting setups.

Quiet Grid Cloth Diffusion

Quiet Light Grid Cloth Diffusion Filter is made from waterproof nylon fabric and is designed for use in theatres, TV studios, on film sets and for photographic lighting. Great for outdoor shoots as it stays quiet on windy days. As with the standard Grid Cloth, Quiet Grid Cloth can be sewn and grommeted.
